It must be noted here that the color of the idol of Shani is always black in color. Those devotees who fast on Saturday only take a single meal that too in the evening after prayers. Food prepared usually consis ts of sesame til or black gram or any other black colored food item. Salt is avoided by many on the day.

Rekha Shah and her husband were arrested by Nepal police on the basis of a complaint, on Sunday evening. Kathmandu police arrested the two after Subas Raj Kafle complained with police, accusing the singer of Simsime Panima fame and her husband of issuing threats to him. The two had given loan to Sandip Raj Kafle, son of Subas, for gambling in the casino, according to police. They had approached Subas seeking loan repayment after Sandip went out of contact, unable to pay back the loan. The two are in the custody of Metropolitan Police Circle, Kathmandu, where an investigation is underway. Rekha has ‘proof’ of the loan — Rs 73 lakh — that she provided to Sandip.

Magnitude-7.8 earthquake rocks Ecuador

A magnitude 7.8 earthquake hits along the coast of Ecuador Saturday, the U.S. Geological Survey reports.The tremor was recorded at a depth of 19.2 kilometers (11.9 miles). A tsunami threat message has been issued as waves reaching 0.3 to 1 metre above tide level are possible for coastal areas of Ecuador. However, other countries along the coast including, Colombia, Costa Rica, Panama, Peru and many other Pacific islands are forecast to see waves less than 0.3 metres.Ecuador is a country straddling the equator on South America’s west coast. Its diverse landscape encompasses Amazon jungle, Andean highlands and the wildlife-rich Galápagos Islands.

The moment Karma sees the trailer approaching

The first day and night she wouldn’t stop crying, baffling rescuers as she filled the air with mournful pleas.
It wasn’t until the next day that rescuers at California’s Gentle Barn Sanctuary noticed something: Karma’s udders were full of milk. They quickly realized that she must have had a baby who was left behind at the farm, so they rushed to call her former owners.

Karma did have a little baby who was on his way to the butcher. In a stroke of luck, the car he was being transported in broke down, and rescuers were able to claim the little calf.

What followed was a stunning reunion that shows just how strong a cow’s maternal love can be. The moment Karma sees the trailer approaching, she instinctively jumps to her feet and begins to call out. As soon as she sees him, she rushes over to the fence, desperately trying to reach him through the barrier. jumping and straining at his lead as he tries to reach his mother. Unfortunately, weakened by hunger and his time away from mom, he collapses at her feet when they finally meet. But after some gentle nuzzling from his mother, he fights his way back up and is soon cuddled up to her and nursing again.

Man causes a series of accidents with a bus

A man tried to drive a bus away on the streets of Xining, Qinghai Province recently. Surveillance cameras on the road and bus recorded the entire incident as the runaway bus rampaged and knocked down a pedestrian on the sidewalk. The bus driver was heading to the restroom and left the keys on the bus for three minutes. According to the police, the suspect had never driven before and escaped after causing the accident. Local police officers have arrested him and the bus driver was suspended. A further investigation is underway.

Selak was now given a four year respite from Death messing with him, but all good things must come to an end. Despite obvious signs that he should barricade himself in his home and invent a line of bubblewrap clothing, having nearly died aboard a train, a plane, and a bus, Selak decided it would be a good idea to drive around in his car. Unfortunately, his car caught fire as he was driving. He jumped out and ran away from the car, getting away just shortly before the car was engulfed in flames, followed by the gas tank exploding.

Rather than switch to simply riding bikes, he got a different car and decided to risk automobile travel once again… mistake. Fire once again claimed one of his cars three years later, when a defective fuel pump sprayed gasoline over the hot engine. The resulting flames that suddenly shot through the air vents burned off most of Selak’s hair and caused him a couple other burns, but that was the extent of his injuries.
