Interview with Singer Dhiraj Rai

Today News: The meeting of the Council of Ministers today has formed an-eleven-member High Level Federalism Implementation and Restructuring Directive Committee. The committee is formed under the chairmanship of the Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli. The other members at the committee are including Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Defense Bhim Rawal, Finance Minister Bishnu Poudel, Home Minister Shakti Basnet, Law Minister Agni Kharel, General Administration Minister Rekha Sharma, National Planning Commission Vice-chair Dr Yubraj Khatiwada and chief secretary Dr Somlal Subedi. Subedi is the member secretary at the committee. Likewise, the meeting has formed a-nine-member Federalism Implementation and Administration Restructuring Coordination Committee under the convenorship of the chief secretary. Similarly, secretaries at the Ministries of Finance, Home Affairs, Defense, Law, General Administration, Federal Affairs and Local Development, Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers are the members at the committee. Joint secretary at the PM office is the member secretary at the committee. Minister for Information and Communications Sherdhan Rai who is also the spokesperson of the government informed that the meeting decided to receive the technical support equivalent to Rs 650 million out of about Rs 12.55 billion to be provided by the European Union for the reconstruction projects. Similarly, the meeting has decided to appoint agriculture and a livestock technician in each VDCs and they would be appointed through competition on contract basis. Four DIGS promoted to AIGs. The meeting has promoted four retired Deputy Inspector of Generals (DIG) Yadav Adhikari, Parshuram Khatri, Bishwa Raj Singh Shahi and Sushil Bar Singh Thapa to the Additional Inspectors Generals (AIG) as per the decision of the Supreme Court.
